Dear Blogger,
As the New Year has arrived,i decided to usher in the Year of the Ox with small dinner with just me,Ghazali and Ellen but later on,join by Fred and company's(his wife and cousin).
This time, same place at Bussorah Street. It Deli Morocco..as normal..their service is great and food is good..and reasonable price. If i compare it with other Arab-Middle Eastern restaurant,i guess, i won't be having nice food like i do now..the Kebab is thick and a bit spicy and their Tagin Chicken is good..ooze with potato and Kofta Tagin is loaded with beef and egg..yummy..can't wait to go back there again..hopefully,one day i will bring my family there..insyallah..(kalau mereka tak tunjuk attitude..hahahaah). I also noticed that the restaurant is buzzing with a lot of customers..till there no more table and chairs for Fred and company's..and most of the patron's are non-malay..hhmm..good business..
This time,i have learnt my lesson from the previous experience..never take a taxi around Bugis Area...i walk with Ghaz and Ellen till the Fu Lu Shou complex and took a bus till Sim Lim Square and waited for my no 67...while waiting..i was sitting alone and another bench was occupied by another couple and the other one,by another Malay lady, who is shouting and screaming down on her handphone and scolding the other person on the other line..i really pity that person..but obviously, she is angry of being cheated..
Few minutes later,a geeky but cute guy sit next to me..a few cm away actually..but both of us were so...aware of the strings of abuse hurled by that lady on the phone..kind of scary to me..hehehe..well,after few minutes, the guy next to me asked me a simple question..
"Excuse me,are u a malay or chinese",he asked
"Of course i am a Malay. Why do u ask", i answered
"ohh..ok..boleh saya tanya, bus no berapa ke Bukit Timah"..he asked me in malay but there is a hint of slang ..he is not local nor an indonesian..
"Bukit Timah mana..tempatnya besar"..i reply..then he show me the address on the phone..mind u..its a NoKia N95..the latest with GPRS include
"ohh..its the same palce where i be passing jugak, ambil aje bus no 67 and saya akan beritahu where to drop.."i told him..
That's when the conversation started. His name is Indra and he is from Brunei..no wonder i have difficulty in understanding him at first..the way he talk is like sing-a-long session..soo merdu..
anyway,he stop near the Westwood Condominium, where he is currently staying with his aunt and uncle for his 2 months visit before the new semester start for college in Brunei. He wanted to get some electronic stuffs for his PC and laptop from the Sim Lim Square and do a bit of shopping at Bugis by himself, since everyone is working. He is only 20 years old and dad is a captain in the army(or did i heard it correctly). A very polite and interesting boy.
I wanted to take his picture but i am scared,i will scare him off but to me..he got the sweetest look for a malay guy..with dimple on the cheeks..anyway,we exchange email..for sure i will write to him always.
